The Franchi 720 is a reliable and strong waterfowl gun because of a rotating bolt head that’s at the heart of the operating system. The bolt head locks bank-vault tight into the barrel extension, which takes the full stress of firing. Because lock up is achieved in that way, the receiver of the 720 waterfowl gun can be manufactured from a super-light alloy, for a basic gun weight of just 5.8 pounds.

LEFT: The Franchi Twin Shock Absorber™ (TSA) recoil pad features a special gel insert that can reduce felt recoil by as much as 44-percent. The TSA recoil pad is standard on the Franchi 720 shotgun.

RIGHT: A rotating bolt head is at the heart of all of the ultra-reliable Franchi auto-loaders. The rotating bolt head locks bank vault tight into the barrel extension. The stress of firing is confined to the barrel and bolt, allowing a lighter receiver.
