A new affordable over & under shotgun called the Renaissance Sporting joins the Franchi family. Inspired by the specific requirements of clay target shooters, the Renaissance Sporting comes in 12-gauge and features 30-inch ported barrels with extended knurled choke tubes for easy fitting and removal. The Sporting’s forcing cones have been lengthened to ensure uniform shot patterns and to reduce back pressure and subsequent felt recoil. Weighing in at eight pounds, the Sporting utilizes an extra-strong, steel box-lock action for handling a steady diet of high-brass target loads. The receiver is enhanced with scroll engraving and gold embellishments. The stock, cut from highly figured select walnut and featuring cut checkering, sports a traditional oil finish to compliment the wood’s beautiful grain pattern. The stock is further enhanced with an adjustable comb and Franchi’s patented recoil-reducing Twin Shock Absorber™ system that diminishes felt-recoil up to 44%, making the Renaissance a pleasure to shoot. The Renaissance Sporting has all the desirable features of more expensive models. The Sporting’s 30” barrels are ported to control muzzle climb and fitted with extended, knurled chokes to facilitate easy removal and installation without tools. 
The Renaissance Sporting comes with a comb that can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically. An adjustment tool is included with each gun to facilitate correct placement for optimal fit. 
Located behind the Sporting’s top lever is the multi-function safety, which serves as both barrel-selector and safety. 
The Renaissance Sporting’s all-steel receiver is embellished with fine scroll-engraving and graced with a gold-inlaid clay target on each side.
