Franchi Expands Momentum Line with the New All-Terrain Elite "EDC Rifle"
January 2023, Accokeek, MD – Everyone loves a "truck gun"—a high-mobility, quick-to-action firearm that goes where you go and is ready for deployment anywhere, any time. In the spirit of the fast and easy-to-carry scout-style rifle, Franchi introduces a platform for the modern consumer with the Momentum All-Terrain Elite bolt-action as the newest member of the brand’s vaunted Momentum Elite series.
The Momentum All-Terrain Elite builds on the standard Momentum Elite rifle design with its detachable box magazine, one-piece Picatinny rail top, threaded barrel with muzzle brake, adjustable trigger, and one-piece, spiral fluted bolt with three locking lugs. The proven accuracy performance (1 MOA guarantee with premium ammo) and intelligent, ergonomic stock design of the Momentum Elite series rifles lead the class of superior hunting rifles for those who go hard and demand high performance from their equipment.
Now, for 2023, Franchi addresses the needs of those looking for the same exacting standards and accuracy of the Momentum Elite but with a more everyday carry attitude.
The new Momentum All-Terrain Elite is equipped with a shorter 18-inch barrel compared to the 22- and 24-inch barrels on the standard Momentum Elite. This shorter barrel pairs with an extended Picatinny rail with a forward end that free-floats over the barrel. With this rail configuration, multiple optics options are presented—including LPVOs (Low Power Variable Optics), long eye relief scout-style optics, and modern magnifier-optic combinations. Also, in keeping with the modern scout rifle concept, the Momentum All-Terrain Elite comes with a rugged flip-up aperture rear sight—adjustable for windage— and an elevation adjustable blade front sight system favored by practiced marksmen.
The Momentum All-Terrain Elite is chambered in either .308 Winchester or .223 Remington, making the series ideal for everything from varmints to big game. Further, both chamber designs are rated for their respective 5.56x45mm NATO and 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition counterparts. To ensure ample rounds on-board, both rifles include a 10-round Magpul AICS box magazine.
The do-it-all mission of the Momentum All-Terrain Elite demands a stock system that is adaptable to multiple field positions and shooting conditions. For this, the broad, flat-bottom forend enhances
stability when shooting from ad hoc field rests and offers a positive grip when shooting in the unsupported prone, kneeling, or standing positions. M-LOK attachment points on the stock forend make way for accessories, as well as a built in quick-detach slot for sling attachment.
The Momentum All-Terrain Elite rifles come with a TSA recoil pad that reduces felt recoil up to 50- percent. Finally, each barrel is threaded 5/8x24 to accept suppressors, custom muzzle devices, or simply use the included factory muzzle brake for enhanced muzzle control and quick sight realignment.
EDC rifles are back…and Franchi's new Momentum All-Terrain Elite is leading the charge.
